Powering thinking with found objects.
A fun engaging way to explore design thinking using found objects combined with hands on learning tasks. The process increases the level and efficiency of both communication and cognitive thinking.
The below workshops are Face to Face or Remote and many can be one or the other. After discussing with you we will make the final session schedule and tailor the session to your needs. Although, they appear to be made for business or education each one can be altered to suit both. Additionally, the timing of the workshop(s) is also flexible between 1hr Icebreaker to Full day (or even Multiple day) configuration.
Think to Design
3hr Design Thinking Session
This session will introduce you to the basics of Design Thinking. We will take a human-centred focus to very real and now problems. The shift will come when we turn these somewhat everyday problems into solvable projects. Changing to forward-thinking optimistic directions we can go from here. Every participant will get the chance to design a solution to an everyday problem as well as receive ideas around one of their own current challenges.
After this programme, you will be able to:
understand the basic principles of design thinking
make simple innovation happen in your daily lives using design thinking
connect and empathise with others needs and desires
challenge your assumptions using design thinking techniques
strengthen your ability to define, interpret and reframe a problem
quickly generate ideas and solutions
use feedback questions to Remix your ideas
build a story around your solution

Full Day for Educators
This workshop is targeting at classroom teachers, but could be for any educator working with students ages 3-18. Workshop is designed by age group and is very hands on and engaging, but not leaving out the practical “How to do this tomorrow” bits.
Build a Tinkertale
3hr or Full day with Teams
Tinkertales
A storytelling workshop based off popular fairytales with a twist. The workshop includes a bit of design thinking, writing, tinkering, scavenger hunts and performance.
Groups of 4 work on different fairy tales to rewrite a new version. Together they discuss ideas and then they go on a scavenger hunt in their own environments to find materials to build and tell their part of the story. At the end of the session, each team performs their new Tinkertale to the entire group. Other roles in the team include Narrator, playwright, sound-effects. etc.
The day will be fun, fast and engaging. Small/timed breakouts will inspire the teams to think fast. We will follow Design Thinking techniques to come up with new ideas quickly that can be part of the final performance.
Another way to look at it!
Icebreaker (1hr) or 3hr Session
A fun, engaging Play Workshop that will take a look at things that challenge you. Learn how with just a small change of perspective, you can start to design your new norm, which might be even better than the old one. Go away with tools you can use to keep you moving forward and looking beyond the spot where you stand now.

What do you bring to the table?
Miro Virtual Play Session
This will be an experimental remote workshop with the main goal being to see how far can we take remote workshops towards being a connected, inspired, engaged, fun, hands-on experience. The goal is to interject play in remote business workshops, making all kinds of things (business-meeting like) fun, playful and inspiring. We are intrigued by the idea of having people sitting around the same table playing with one idea from many different locations.
